Where do you find all these letters?
Everywhere … anywhere outdoors! Parks, churches, schools, shopping districts, yards, and the mountains (as I live in the Denver area) have provided most of the opportunities to find letters. While "normal" folks are enjoying the views, I'm looking for letters. ;-)
Do you take pictures of actual letters?
No, all my letters are an artistic interpretation of something that is NOT supposed to be a letter. For example, I don’t take pictures of the “W” in Wal-Mart or the “A” in Applebee’s. Although it would definitely be an easier way of finding them, I want to keep my letters as natural as possible.
What inspired you to create the framed prints?
It began back in 2008 when I noticed a few objects that looked like they could be letters. I decided to make all Christmas presents that year, so I set out to find just enough letters to spell out families’ and friends’ last names and present them in a 8 inch by 20 inch frame. After that, it developed into a small hobby/business when I’d receive requests to make one, usually as a gift for someone else. I kept getting feedback, “It was a GREAT gift. They loved it!” or “I love it in my house!” After many years in the portrait photography business, I decided to add these letter frames to my business.
Can I make copies of the CD I purchase?
No. Making copies or sharing the images in any way is not allowed. The CD (or download - whichever you decide to purchase) is for YOUR PERSONAL use only and any other use is prohibited. I have spent many, many hours to create all the images and I ask you to please respect my Copyright Protection. If you are interested in creating products that you would like to sell, please contact me as I do have commercial use licenses available.
Do you offer refunds?
There are no refunds. Just like if you were to purchase a CD, DVD, or software program at a store, they would not accept a return if it has been opened or used.
How big are the images?
Each image is 600 x 900 and are cropped in a 4 x 6 ratio. You can make and print them in any size you wish, but my intent when I created them was to have them printed in a size 4 x 6 inch and smaller. The files sizes are not large enough to be printed as 8x10s or larger.
Do you have any instructions on how to use the images?
Click on the Letter Tutorial page for step by step instructions on how to create your very own personalized designs. The Photoscape software is free (you'll need to download it first). I have no association whatsoever with the software - I just find it extremely easy to use so I'm passing along my tips. ;-) There are also some tutorials for projects listed on the GET IDEAS HERE page.
What if I just want to pick out a matte and letters and have it designed, printed, and shipped?
